The passing of L. Jeannine Mills, age 85, marks the end of a life deeply rooted in the community of Charles City. A lifelong resident, Jeannine passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Floyd County Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and quiet devotion to family and community.

Jeannine’s life was one of steady presence and meaningful connection. As a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church, her faith played a central role in shaping who she was and how she lived. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City, with Pastor Don Preston officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Our Brother’s Keeper and Trinity United Methodist Church.
